“Psoas literally embodies our deepest urge for survival, and more profoundly, our elemental desire to flourish.” Liz Koch
Join Theresa in the innovative approach to nurture and nourish your psoas muscles. The psoas is considered “the seat” or “the muscle of soul.” It is deeply connected to the vagus nerve, the diaphragm, our survival instincts, and the fight, flight or freeze response. The psoas muscles stabilize the spine, flex the hips, and is responsible for upright posture. It is vital to our skeletal structure, organs, and balance. It is the protector of our center of gravity. The psoas is a messenger to the central nervous system. It is influenced by and stores trauma and emotional stress. It speaks in the language of sensation. It transcend the physical body connecting it with the breath, mind and emotions.
This workshop offers the perfect balance of science, breath work, meditation, and mindful movement to enhance your psoas awareness. Nourish and nurture yourself from stressed to rest.
